Well, if I have ever woken up with my head sewn to the carpet, it happened this morning… And funny thing is, I have no carpet out here…

My head was very cloudy, my face was all puffy and I felt like I had run the marathon the day before… Now, I wasn’t hung over or anything… Well, maybe a little… I just think all of the food, drink and smoke put me into some sort of coma and I was now just climbing out of it…

First objective in mind… Make Coffee! Oh yes, #TheTravelingMac brought his #CampfireCoffeePot and it was one of the first things I packed… I am way too familiar with mornings like these to ever forget such a key combatant against such unpredictable mornings…

Even though I was very groggy, the morning was surprisingly exhilarating… there was this nice chilly breeze tickling your face and skin, relieving you from the warm morning sun… I was feeling so rested and connected to #nature, I decided to take a quick #hike to get the noggin shaken up while feeding it caffeine at the quickest sip click possible… The #WhiteNoise of the #river was so nice to sleep to last night… I didn’t wake up once in the night… I slept right through till the morning… I would have slept longer but the sun started peering through my #tent and creating a greenhouse heat like effect inside…

I just kept on looking around in awe… There’s just so much to take in… So much to see… So many moments to capture… So many creatures to observe… I could spend a lifetime out here and still not get to observe every little piece of beautifulness #MotherNature displays for us daily…

I always feel this sunken regret that I didn’t come out here sooner and this horrible feeling that I will never see this place again… For I know that this perfect feeling will go away and I will go back into everyday life… And as much as I want to deny it, I know someone will ask me to go #camping in the future and I will find some lame ass excuse to not go and have such amazing experiences…

It always takes so much of me to get myself out to experience these perfect moments that happen almost every time I camp… The working, everyday #Traveling Mac, is not as #spiritual and is a real skeptic… You can give him every reason in the world to go out and have a great time that he knows he will have; yet he will find some sort of lame excuse not to go… I guess that’s something I really have to work on… I need to be more spontaneous… Spontenaity is what got me to leave everything and travel the country… Now spontaneity needs to help me get away from myself…

Then when you thought it couldn’t get any better… The military decides to do some #JetFlyBys…

And I mean these #jets came very close to where we were camping… I joked with the guys that the #AirForce is pretending we are the Taliban and using our location for a #MilitaryDrill… I mean, the terrain probably isn’t much different than the terrain in Afghanistan… So, why not…

So, Dustin and I decided to act like the Taliban when they flew by… I know, we are retarded but you do crazy things when you are inspired by the freedom of nature…

So when one of the jets circled by again, Dustin and I screamed out “Allah Akbar,” which means “God is Great,” in Arabic… Here’s a short video above…

We danced around, shaking sticks at the jet… I couldn’t imagine what the pilot was thinking when he saw us… Yeah folks, they flew that close that the pilot could actually see our faces because we could see his head in the cockpit… It may not translate that close in pictures or on video but in actual real life, he was a lot closer…

Jordan had to leave to renew his car registration… Ian and Tony had to head back to #StovepipeWellsVillage to work… So, it was just Dustin, myself and the few jets flying by in #SequoiaNationalForest…

We slowly took down camp as we joked and enjoyed being out in the warm sun…

I didn’t have any cream or sugar for my coffee, so I drank it black… Not something I like to do… But to my surprise, I actually liked it… Wow! The Traveling Mac is growing up and now taking his coffee black… Oh, my Mum would be so proud…

Well, after eating several pounds of meat the night before… I was in great need of some facilities… I certainly don’t like to do my business in nature if I don’t have to… We actually passed some porta-potties on our walk up here, so we decided to head in that direction… There is also a nice #stream down there where we saw some pretty cute girls the day before… So we also decided to kill two birds with one stone and get a quick bath in nature’s watering hole…

Look North Carolina, is that so hard? These are what we call gender-neutral bathrooms… No one is getting raped or fondled in these bathrooms… They have locks on them… We need to open our minds and stop trying to scare everyone into submission when it comes to dealing with LGBT rights in this country… If a man or woman believe they are the opposite sex, which science shows happens in the womb, then we need to help them feel accepted just like everyone else… They are committing no crime… They are just trying to fit in a society that doesn’t fully accept them…

Sorry to get political but the opportunity to mention this issue was too perfect to pass…

After Dustin and I got camp packed up and took a dip in the stream, we hit the road to head back to #Stovepipe… Just like that it was over… but was it?

As we were driving, we started talking about getting #MedicallyLegal… And to my surprise, Dustin had a California Drivers license… So we convinced Jordan to take a detour and head to Bakersfield to get Dustin his first #MedicalMarijuanaRecommendation… Could there be any better end to a perfect trip?

It was a combined two hours out of our way but we assured Jordan we would make it worth his while… wink.. wink… I was surprised Dustin didn’t already have his recommendation… It makes life a lot easier in this ever changing policy on the #LegalizationOfMarijuana…

I was completely against putting my name on such a controversial list at first but when I got a job at a #MedicalMarijuanaShop in #Korea Town,L.A… I was forced to get one… Ever since, I have broken my silence on this issue and am a huge supporter of full #Legalization… And I’m pretty sure, since Colorado, Alaska, Washington and Oregon went fully legal, California will do the same this upcoming #election…

But until then we are stuck with this ridiculous yet necessary system… I hate that we have to put our name on a list yet I am happy that steps we’re taken to force this country to address this issue and grow up… Without medical legalization we wouldn’t have the necessary steps and released research to get it legalized fully today… Considering no one was even allowed to experiment with it in this country legally…

It’s all about money folks! #Marijuana was stigmatized by the #alcohol, #tobacco and lumber industry and their #lobbyists have kept this plant illegal all throughout the 20th century… But the truth always wins eventually… Sometimes it doesn’t feel like it will but everyone in this country is slowly realizing the truth and that truth is that marijuana is as harmless as coffee… If you want to challenge me on this issue, I would gladly sit down and talk to you about it… The facts are all that matter and they are slowly coming out and being heard… And that’s why marijuana is becoming legal across the country because people are actually hearing this truth about this harmless plant…

So we got Dustin his card… We celebrated accordingly and headed back to Stovepipe Wells… What a great couple of days full of nature, #inspiration and progress! You can’t plan times like these, they just magically happen…
