Here we go folks! My shortest post ever!
Tracey and I got a free invitation to go zip lining… As I have mentioned before, a lot of the #TourCompanies give us free tickets hoping we will send guests their way…
They took #TheTravelingMac and Tracey deep into the woods where they had this elaborate #ZipLining operation… They even had one long wire which guided you across a huge lake…
Tracey and I were eager to see the sights but first we had to be trained…
They had this neat little zip lining training course….
The equipment we had to wear was pretty embarrassing though… lol…
One of the zip lining guides was very knowledgable about the plants in the area…
She even spoke of a plant that is called the #Devil’sClub… Which is just like #Ginseng but a lot more abundant and cheaper… Anyone who knows the price of Ginseng knows that a cheaper alternative would be great… I don’t know why the devil’s club isn’t more popular here in the U.S…
So, we were properly trained…
You had to watch where you placed your hands because they could get caught in the gears, which would be extremely painful…
I was very nervous because of the heights but eager to see the sights from high up…
We all passed the training with flying colors…
But then thunder struck in the near distance and we had to go back to base to wait until it passed…
Well, needless to say, it didn’t pass and we didn’t get to go zip lining… But I learned a ton about plants and flowers in Alaska while we were waiting… Not too exciting but definitely worth my time…
